Why Copyright? Direct info from US Copyright site

Why should I register my work if copyright protection is automatic?
Registration is recommended for a number of reasons. Many choose to register their works because they wish to have the facts of their copyright on the public record and have a certificate of registration. Registered works may be eligible for statutory damages and attorney's fees in successful litigation. Finally, if registration occurs within 5 years of publication, it is considered prima facie evidence in a court of law. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section “Copyright Registration” and Circular 38bHighlights of Copyright Amendments Contained in the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (URAA), on non-U.S. works.

US Copyright Website info

http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#what
You can go online and get your copy rights from the U.S Copyright website listed above. Here are two helpful FAQ I found helpful as an author.
When is my work protected?
Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.
Do I have to register with your office to be protected?
No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section “Copyright Registration.”

A Diary of a Friend Part 2: working back on it

I haven't forgotten my second part, but I have been busy with health articles and things around the house namely my family and home. But stay tuned......

Snow in California

Our first snow this year.
The Last Snow for this  Sycamore. It's roots have become a threat to my house. So sad.  Snow on the branches is a favorite thing I love to see in art. Especially, black and white photos.

My neighbor's trees looked so cool. I love our view. It's great in all directions. We are so lucky.
My cat has discovered the snow. He didn't like it much and scurried to the nearest door and stayed put until I saved him. Back inside his little house all day.
It's so cool to finally have snow. Last year it snowed three times up here in the 3500 feet above sea level.

Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy,a great lesson to learn.

This book was given to me as part of my training at the Fortune 500 company UPS as a sales rep long ago before I had my kids. I wish I would have had this book in high school because it is so informative and gives great practical advice not just for sales, but for business.

Forks Over Knives_ book by T.Colin Campbell

I watched the documentary and it was eye opening. I learned more about the food industry that I had no idea. Without ruining it for you, I will say it is well worth the $ to buy the book. Your health and the health of your loved ones is at stake. If you are ill, this might be of interest to you, but I suggest you start here and then go to "Green for Life" by Victoria Boutenko. Check out the link on this blog.

A Diary of a Friend

My first ebook and a novel I wrote years ago in the late '90s. I am working on book two of "A Diary of a Friend". Only $.99 and 192 pages.
